Intex in2060 – Dual-blade ripper Review
Intex in2060 is a good low-end dual SIM budget cellphone with value added features like: embedded FM radio antenna, torchlight and a 1.3MP camera. At a price of Rs. 2,499, it makes a good buy with a decent overall performance complementing its value added features.
Intex in2060 is coated in matte-black finish on the keypad. Two sunset yellow strips decorate either sides of the cellphone and add nice contrast against the glossy black finish on the back-panel. In addition, a thin steel metallic reinforcement on the front panel adds a touch of class to the design aesthetics. The ridged spaced keys with bevelling adds to the ergonomics of the keypad, resulting in quick and accurate typing. The keys generate consistent tactile feedback, so that the user input is registered successfully with minimal human effort.
[RELATED_ARTICLE]The rhombus shaped navigation control dial and the call function keys are ergonomically placed between the LCD screen and the keypad. We could not miss the presence of dual SIM switching special function keys placed one above the other, just beside the navigation control dial. In spite of the sleek design, the cellphone is a bit heavier than its counterparts weighing about 100grams.
The menu interface is neat and well organized. The presence of application quick-launch toolbar at the top of the home-screen adds to the user-friendliness and ergonomics of the interface. However, one cannot customise, modify or add to the default list of application shortcuts provided in the toolbar.

Performance
Intex in2060 delivered consistent signal reception and voice clarity across zones one & two. However, there was considerable drop in voice clarity across zone three, when the cellphone was subjected to environmental background noise & interference. The device earpiece volume and speaker volume was more than audible. However, we witnessed considerable sound distortion on the loudspeaker at volumes higher than 50%. The call audibility was very feeble while using the handsfree headset, even at maximum volume and hence defeating the purpose of its use in noisy environments.
[RELATED_ARTICLE]The integrated camera delivered crisp and sharp images both outdoors & indoors, which is a big plus for a low-end budget cellphone. However, the music test yielded a mixed bag of results. The loudspeaker audio quality was very ordinary and showed evidence of sound distortion even at medium volumes.
The bundled earphones delivered good sound reproduction with minimal distortion at medium to high volumes. Although the display quality and video playback was impressive, the display legibility was poor leading to blurred fonts & images under bright sunshine.
