ECS V20S (v2.1) Review : Good looks, lacks performance
VERDICT:

The ECS V20S is not the best value for money product, but if you want to eliminate the clutter of wires on your desk then this AIO will address the issue completely.

The display is a 19.5inch non-touch type featuring a low-cost TN display panel and a 1600X900 resolution, which falls below the full HD standard of 1920X1080 pixels. The display features a matt anti-glare coating which makes it fine for a bit of word processing, but not so good for editing photos or watching movies as it causes for poor viewing angles and lower-quality colour, although brightness and contrast are good.

The sound output from the pair of speakers embedded just below the display panel is loud enough to fill a small room but lacks bass and hurts our ears if used for an extended period. ECS sells this unit without a hard drive and RAM, so we added our own to review it. Compared to a Beebox N3150 coupled with an IPS or TN display and keyboard combo which would cost around Rs.22k approx. PCMark 8 benchmark scores revealed substantial difference in performances between the two with Beebox being at 1884 creative score and ECS V20S at just 1352 creative score. All said, this unit isn’t a good performer.

The ECS V20S is not the best value for money product, but if you want to eliminate the clutter of wires on your desk then this AIO will address the issue completely.
