Rs 13,899 is a high price to ask for a printer even a compact one like the H470. There are a few obvious issues with fast prints and if quality isn’t what you need but just speed, then the H470 would be perfect. The entire idea of being to carry a printer around in independently is what makes this printer special and if that’s what you need, it makes a worthy purchase.
The HP Officejet H470 is one of the few portable inkjet printers to come by. Unlike some of the ultra portable printers that usually are designed to print just photo, the H470 can do pretty much everything a desktop printer can. We go hunting for a weakness in this Officejet H470.
The H470 is much smaller in comparison than a desktop printer but it can still print A4 size pages just fine. The build quality isn’t the best as everything in a desktop printer has been compacted into the cramped space.
When it comes to quality it takes some time but it prints the high quality photo prints rather well. There is some excess saturation of colours but keeps the contrast levels high. The photo quality printout took 4:34 mins to print. Speeds for the standard quality text prints were around 10 seconds. The normal quality text print one took 3 seconds more. The difference in the economical and the standard quality prints are very obvious. The normal prints look thick and display some shadowing.
The economical modes show a good amount of quality degradation. Lines seem edged and aren’t smooth. There were signs of colours mixing up and lot of banding issues. There are also protruding edges of colours spilling on the sides of straight lines.
Some of the HP Officejet H470 additional features have wireless networking capabilities using WiFi which is an optional as well through Bluetooth. It also comes with a battery like on a laptop so you don’t always have to carry the power adaptor everywhere you go.
