Asus GTX 980 Matrix Platinum Review : Pushing the envelope a little further than before
The performance scores for this card would have been the highest in our list had we not added the GTX TITAN Z and the AMD R9 295X2 to our benchmarks. Otherwise, this is the best performing single-GPU graphics card that we’ve tested.
The 980 Matrix platinum has pretty good cooling with load temperatures never going above 53 degrees Celsius but those who do get this card are generally going to be pushing for the leader-boards with the help of LN2. And when it comes to the problems faced by extreme enthusiasts, the card has a few well-thought out features like the LN2 defroster which is useful for preventing cold bugs. Also, if you screw up with the BIOS then there is a one button recovery system as well.
