The Xiaomi Pad 7 tablet will make its Indian debut on January 10. This comes after Amazon’s microsite revealed some information about the upcoming tablet. While the Xiaomi Pad 7’s specifications and price are unknown, it is expected to offer significant performance and display upgrades.
For those who are unaware, the company has already introduced the device in China and is expected to launch the device with the same specifications in the global market, implying possible enhancements over the Pad 6. Here’s everything you should know.
Xiaomi Pad 6 vs Xiaomi Pad 7: Specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to feature an 11.2-inch LCD 3K screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of peak brightness, as well as HDR10 and Dolby Vision support, up from the Xiaomi Pad 6’s 11-inch LCD panel with 550 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the Pad 7 may get a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor with up to 8GB RAM instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 with 6GB RAM. The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to run Android 15-based HyperOS 2.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to have an 8850 mAh battery with 45W fast charging, similar to the 8840 mAh with 33W fast charging. We also expect an IR blaster with the Xiaomi Pad 7.
Regarding the camera, we may not see any improvement. The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to have a 13 MP camera, similar to the Xiaomi Pad 6. It may be equipped with an 8 MP front-facing camera.
Xiaomi Pad 6 vs Xiaomi Pad 7 price expectations:
The Xiaomi Pad 6 is currently priced at Rs 23,999 on Flipkart, Amazon, and other e-commerce platforms. The Xiaomi 7 was released in China for CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 23,500) in the base trim. However, the Indian prices have yet to be announced, but we expect it to cost around Rs 25,000 in India.
