Bubble Nebula

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope captured this image of an enormous bubble being blown into space by a super-hot, massive star.

Veil Nebula

This nebula is 110 light-years across, covering six full moons on the sky as seen from Earth, and resides about 2,100 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus, the Swan.

Spiral Galaxy NGC 2775

The spiral pattern shown by the galaxy in this image from the Hubble Space Telescope is striking because of its delicate, feathery nature.

Butterfly Nebula

The "wings" of this nebula are regions of gas heated to more than 36,000 degrees Fahrenheit that are tearing across space at more than 600,000 miles an hour.

V838 Monocerotis

This image shows an expanding halo of light around a distant star named V838 Monocerotis (V838 Mon). V838 Mon is located about 20,000 light-years away from Earth in the direction of the constellation Monoceros, placing the star at the outer edge of our Milky Way Galaxy.

M1 – Crab Nebula

This Hubble mosaic is one of the largest images ever taken of a supernova remnant by the space telescope. It is also the highest resolution image ever made of the entire Crab Nebula, which is located 6,500 light-years away.
