OnePlus is (or was) one of the most popular smartphone brands among enthusiasts. While OnePlus has moved from that initial enthusiast brand image to a more mass-market OEM, the company’s loyal fan base still prefers OnePlus over other Android devices, especially in the flagship segment. Now, despite being a mass-market brand, OnePlus still offers one of the best value-for-money flagships, even though the smartphones are behind many competitors in some aspects. While OnePlus is behind many flagships in some aspects, the company is also a trend-setter in the industry. For example, OnePlus was the first smartphone to come with built-in Cyanogen mod (the only company to do this till date), we also got the first 90Hz display on a smartphone with the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it is the only Android brand that uses an alert slider for switching to and from silent mode.
With smartphone cameras evolving at a never-seen-before pace, we have seen smartphone manufacturers partner-up with legacy camera brands like Vivo’s partnership with Zeiss and Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica, OnePlus has also partnered with Swede camera-maker Hasselblad for the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 10, and OnePlus 11 series. Being the latest flagship from the brand, the OnePlus 11 features in our list of top 10 OnePlus mobile phones, along with its smaller sibling, the OnePlus 11R.
So the OnePlus 12 is a proper OnePlus device. The smartphone’s looks, to its 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display, to the performance with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, to even the battery and charging – everything reeks of OnePlus. On top, this year we get some added goodies like the periscope telephoto lens with the 50MP + 64MP + 48MP triple rear camera and wireless charging. The OnePlus 12 makes for a superb all-rounder device for its price.
If you’re on the lookout for an all-rounder priced at ₹40,000, the OnePlus 12R emerges as a compelling option. Boasting of premium specifications typically found in flagship devices like an aluminium frame, an LTPO AMOLED display with Dolby Vision, and lightning-fast 100W fast charging, the OnePlus 12R delivers on multiple fronts. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM.
One of the most complete foldable smartphones in the market currently, the OnePlus Open is OnePlus’ first foldable in the market. Launched last year with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM, the OnePlus Open comes with a stunning 7.86-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is also a proper flagship display with a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED panel which also has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution. The OnePlus Open also has a Hasselblad-branded camera setup with a 48MP + 64MP + 48MP triple rear camera setup with a Sony LYT-T808 primary shooter.
The OnePlus 11R is a phone for OnePlus enthusiasts, which also makes it a very good device for the average buyer looking to get their hands on a fast phone with reliable cameras and a big battery, but one that still does not force them to break the bank for it. It offers great value for money with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 paired with up to 16GB of RAM. The smartphone also comes with a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with HDR support, making it a great device for viewing content. There is also a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging on the OnePlus 11R.
With a metallic body and hardware that hasn’t been compromised with, the OnePlus Nord 4 is powerful enough to play most mobile games with zero lag which makes it a worthy competitor of the POCO F6 and Realme GT 6T, and it also has enough substance to stand out in terms of the display and battery life. The OnePlus Nord 4 5G is the latest mid-range from OnePlus and comes with a 6.74-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM. We are also getting a dual rear camera consisting of 50MP primary and an 8MP wide angle shooter.
The OnePlus Nord CE4 5G was the first smartphone in the OnePlus Nord 4 range this year. The device comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. We also get a 5,500mAh battery with the OnePlus Nord CE4 5G along with 100W fast charging. So if you are looking for a reliable workhorse in a mid-range segment, the OnePlus Nord CE4 5G is very easy to recommend. But if you want a brilliant camera and display to go with it, this may not be the best option for you.
