PROS:
  • Nice premium design, Beast of a performer, Super slick display

  • Software is not the best, Camera performance is average

The iQoo 11 5G is almost an overkill in terms of performance. Almost everything about the smartphone looks and feels premium and top notch, with the exception of just the software and maybe the camera. Overall, the iQoo 11 5G gives us an idea as to what is in store for 2023 in the smartphone space. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is super fast and matching that with 16GB of RAM and an ultra-responsive 144Hz E6 display, the experience is super smooth.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G has one of the largest camera sensors on any smartphone out there, in terms of megapixel count. A 200-megapixel camera, that started with the Moto Edge 30 Ultra, is now available on a couple of other phones as well, but the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G has one of the best implementations of the 200-megapixel shooter so far. The camera takes very detailed and vivid photos, making it very easy for you to get a spectacular shot on this camera. The 200-megapixel camera also captures a lot of light, making things even better for those who want to click images in darker environments. The Pro AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate is also colour accurate and super responsive, and we have the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip that offers a good balance between power and efficiency.

The Redmi K50i is a very capable smartphone that doesn’t skimp on performance and offers an efficient battery life. While it doesn’t have the marquee features of the K20 series, wherever the K50i compromises it more than makes up for it with raw performance and gaming chops. While the FFS LCD screen doesn’t match the viewing experience of an AMOLED screen, you won’t mind it for some casual watching. If you’re out in the market looking for a performance-driven phone, the K50i is one of the best phones you can get right now.

Not because of its performance chops – there are faster performers – but because it offers users a holistic experience with very few compromises.

The iPhone 15 is one of the most well-rounded Apple phones of recent years – it gives you enough to justify its exorbitant price but not too much to take away from the allure of the Pro devices. At a starting price of ₹79,900, the iPhone 15 boasts some of the best performance, camera, and battery chops in the industry at the moment. Although the chipset has stayed the same as the 14 Pro models, we saw enough of a performance uptick to recommend this phone over the iPhone 14 Pro in terms of performance. With this, we are also getting meaningful Pro-level upgrades such as the fantastic camera setup, the battery life, and solid performance. The software experience is as polished as ever, and the new design brings some level of premium air to the vanilla iPhones.

The OnePlus 10 Pro is a great smartphone, there are no two ways about it. It’s got a gorgeous display that facilitates a superb viewing experience, performance chops that rival the top flagship phones, and a long-lasting battery that can refill in around half an hour. All of this is neatly packed in a slim and lightweight profile that looks unique and can withstand daily wear and tear. The Hasselblad cameras don’t bring much to the table this time but you can still create great pictures from the main and telephoto cameras. On the other hand, the signature OnePlus experience that these phones were known for has its presence felt throughout the phone but isn’t fully there due to the codebase merger between OxygenOS and ColorOS. Overall, it is a very good 5G-ready phone if money is not a consideration.
