It's a shame that the Xiaomi Mi MIX will not come to India, but that doesn't make the phone any less attractive. The completely bezel-less design is a sign of things to come in the future, and the Mi Mix leads the charge right now. It's not the perfect phone, but worth knowing about.

The best thing about the phone is the display. It is big bright and almost bezel less. It has a 91.3% body to screen ratio.
A big 6.4-inch display also means that you won’t be able to reach all corners of the phone with one hand, especially the three navigation keys. To make that somewhat easier, the Mi Mix has the Quick Ball feature, which brings navigation keys to the side. This also changes the original aspect ratio of 16:9 to 17:9.
A bezel less display translates into the lack of traditional sensors and equipment. So, the Mi Mix does not have a regular earpiece, a peizoelectric ceramic actuator delivers sound o your ears, through the screen. We reviewed the phone and explained how it works.
A front facing camera has been moved to the bottom (chin) of the phone. It is a 5MP camera and does a good enough job at taking selfies. You can turn the phone upside down while taking selfies.
Holding the display and the entire internals in place is not metal or glass. The Mix instead has a ceramic body, which is very slippery. It is so slippery that it is a task to lift the phone from a flat table.
There is a 16MP rear camera on the phone, which is not very good. To be precise, the camera is the weakest element in this whole device.
Inside is a large 4400mAh battery, which provides a day’s worth of battery life. Also, the back is a big fingerprint magnet.
Now ceramic technically is a tough substance and doesn't break very easily. However, the Mi Mix has thin bezels and while they look good, there is a very big chance that they might give in, if you drop the phone. So, the phone comes with a leather case, which feels as premium as it looks here.
