Xiaomi’s latest smartphone is big, bright and powerful. Offering a large, 6.44-inch display and a 4850mAh battery, the Xiaomi Mi Max is almost a tablet with calling capabilities. We recently reviewed the smartphone and it turned out to be quite decent a device. Here, though, we show you around the massive smartphone, if you'd prefer to call it that.
Before we begin, here is a quick look at the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Max. On paper, the phone is an oversized Xiaomi Redmi Note 3:
The 6.44-inch display offers a 1080p resolution with ppi count of 342ppi. It looks sharp enough, but the viewing angles could have been better. The device is currently running on MiUI 7, but Xiaomi has assured that MiUI 8 will be coming to the Mi Max in August.
The device looks quite similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, except for the size. The fingerprint scanner also lies at the back.
While the design looks similar to the Redmi Note 3, the speaker on the Mi Max has been moved to the bottom, with proper speaker grilles. However, Xiaomi hasn’t opted for a USB-C port for the Mi Max.
