Sony Xperia Z3
The Xperia Z3 looks quite similar to its predecessor and comes with a 5.2-inch full HD display, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with a wider 25mm lens and boosted ISO performance. It will be indeed water and dust proof and will run on Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat. To be announced on 25th September.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
Along with the Z3, the daddy of mini smartphones, the Xperia Z3 Compact will be replacing the Z1 Compact after Sony skipped a mini version of the Z2. The smartphone will feature the exact same hardware and software features as the Xperia Z3 in a much more compact body with a 4.6-inch 720p display. Sony has also put the same 20.7MP camera along with 4K video recording making it the best compact smartphone in the market yet again. To be announced on 25th September.
iPhone 6
Apple announced the iPhone 6 this month and left fans in awe with a larger 4.7-inch display along with some new features like NFC, bigger battery, and an all new curved edged design. Oh and did we mention there is a 128GB version as well? The handset is expected to arrive around 12th of November.
iPhone 6 Plus
Apple played a Samsung this year as it announced a phablet along with the iPhone 6 called the iPhone 6 Plus. The phablet has a display size of 5.5-inch and will be running on a similar hardware as the iPhone 6. The phablet will however feature a landscape mode on iOS 8. The handset should arrive with the iPhone 6 around November.
HTC Desire 820
HTC announced the first ever smartphone which will be running on a 64-bit based chipset made by Qualcomm at IFA 2014. The Desire 820 will be an update to the 816 and will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 which is an octa-core chipset that consists of cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1.0 GHz and has 64-bit architecture. Expected to arrive in the coming 2 months.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
The Note series has been quite popular as it triggered the phablet market. The upcoming Galaxy Note 4 will feature a 2K display, some new TouchWiz features, new S-Pen and two variants (Snapdragon and Exynos). The Note 4 also has a brand new design with a metal frame. Expect the Galaxy Note 4 to arrive by October.
BlackBerry Passport
There is also some good news for BlackBerry lovers as the new Passport smartphone will be announced in India which will be one of the most uniquely designed smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone will launch in India on the 29th of September.
Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen)
The next generation Moto X is now beefier and more powerful with a large 5-inch display and Snapdragon 801 chipset inside. We have already seen the smartphone launch, but we are yet to know when the smartphone will hit the stores. Hopefully Flipkart will make an announcement soon.
