Facebook has apparently some major plans for its Messenger application. Not only it aims to convert the application as a platform featuring third party app support, it is also building an ecosystem around it. UCWeb made a surprise announcement this week by rolling out a desktop version of its popular UC Browser. UCWeb is quite popular on the mobile platform whereas the desktop segment is dominated by the likes of Firefox Mozilla and Google Chrome. Microsoft aims to recapture its market share with its new Spartan browser (phases out Internet Explorer). It'll be interesting how does the UC browser survive the competition. The phone is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek Octa-core processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be further extended upto 32GB via a microSD card. Called the One M9+, the new HTC phone features a 5.2-inch display and MediaTek processor along with 2GB of RAM. So far there's no word on whether the phone will launch in India or not.
