Computex 2018 has officially kicked off yesterday and what better way to end the first press event than celebrating the winners of the d&i award. All the products released in the previous year are judged by a panel of six experts. However, in order to qualify, one has to meet high standards of design and innovation in their products. Interested folks participate in the event voluntarily. In 2018, we got to witness 60 products winning awards. Here are some of our favourites.

ROG STRIX GL12

According to ASUS, the ROG STRIX GL12 draws inspiration from urban ninja and cyberpunk elements, while keeping e-sport in mind. The chiselled edges and deep slashes across the build to match that aesthetic. While the interwoven Hyper Stream design allows for better cooling during gaming marathons. The ninja-mask-like magnetic cover can be removed to reveal the hot-swap SSD tray and optical drive.

YOGA 730

The minimal form of the YOGA 730 aims to be one of the simplest, purest laptop designs available. Within its slim display borders, the 730 houses a comparably large screen, which gives users more viewing area without compromising on the 13” size. ORIGAMI OLED TV

ORIGAMI TV is only 3.95 mm thick. The concept behind the design is inspired by origami. It involves folding sheet metal into a TV frame. Along with saving the amount of material used, it also reportedly improves the strength and integration. The lateral edge of the TV itself contributes to a sense of bent paper-like existence. The stand is designed to appear observably and reversely in order to bring a perfect setting out in a stand or wall-mounted modes. In addition, the TV also features 8 front-firing speakers covered with a specific pattern
