Samsung's Galaxy J series smartphones have been around for a while now and the company just updated the J7 and J5. According to Samsung, the J series is ‘highest selling smartphone series’ in India. The two new phones offer an upgraded specification sheet and metal frame. This makes the phone better, compared to its predecessors, but is it good enough in the current market? Here's a closer look.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 sports a large 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, featuring a 1280 x 720p resolution and 267ppi pixel density.
The J7 also has a full metal construction, which gives it a Galaxy A7 like look. The device features the signature physical home button we have seen on Samsung smartphones.
There's a horizontal brushed finish on the back, along with the 13MP rear shooter, and LED flash.
This is what the camera app looks like. It is fairly simple to use and offers all the features and toggles a normal user might require. The device can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
Let’s move to the Samsung Galaxy J5, which is the more affordable of the two. The device does not have a full metal construction, but there is a metal frame around it.
