Panasonic launched a new budget smartphone under its Eluga range, called the Eluga Note. It will be available offline via brick and mortar shops and is priced at Rs. 13,290. The device comes in the same category as the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and the Moto G4 Plus. However, Panasonic has made it very clear that it is not competing against the ‘online only’ smartphones and will be concentrating on offline retail only.
Before we go any further, here is a look at the specifications of the smartphone
The Panasonic Eluga Note has a good looking display, similar to the Eluga Arc, hence it is quite reflective under bright light. The 5.5-inch display uses an LTPS display panel which was also seen on the Meizu M3 Note recently.
The device runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box which is layered under Panasonic’s FitHome UI.
Unlike many other smartphones in this category, the Panasonic Eluga Note has a plastic build but the company has tried to give the phone a metal like finish.
The top of the phone features an Infrared blaster along with a microUSB port, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also features a 5MP front facing camera.
At the back, there is a 16MP rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture and can record video upto 1080p. The rear camera is further aided by a triple LED flash.
The back of the phone has grippy, very fine mesh like design pattern. It has a removable back and the phone features a 3000mAh battery inside. The Panasonic Eluga Note also supports 4G and extends support for VoLTE.
