OnePlus announced the much-rumored OnePlus X today. This mid-tier phone features a familiar specifications sheet, and a very familiar design. There are two models – Onyx, priced at Rs. 16,999, and the Limited Edition Ceramic variant, priced at Rs. 22,999. Both these devices will start selling in November. Here's taking a closer look at the OnePlus X.
Before we start, let’s go over the specifications:
The OnePlus X has a 5-inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Above the display is an 8MP front-facing camera.
The left side of the phone has an alert slider, which was earlier seen on the OnePlus 2, via which one can toggle between Mute, Priority and All Notifications.
The right side of the phone has the power button and the volume rocker. It also has the Dual-SIM tray. The secondary SIM slot can also be used as a microSD card slot.
The bottom of the phone has the speaker grilles, and a brushed metal frame.
At the rear, the phone feature a 13MP camera sensor with a single LED flash.
Unlike the Sandstone back, the OnePlus X come with a glass back which is very reflective, and is a fingerprint magnet.
Note: The phone on the left is the OnePlus X Ceramic, which OnePlus has said to take 25 days to make. Only 10,000 units of this phone will be available.
