The Nextbit Robin originated from a startup's idea of a phone having extensive cloud storage. Introduced back in September 2015 through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, the Nextbit Robin is now available in India. Launched at Rs. 19,999 and exclusive to Flipkart for now, here's taking a look at the latest smartphone to enter the Indian shores.

The Nextbit Robin has a dual-tone colour scheme, showcasing white and sky pastel colours here. Above the display, what seems like a dual-camera setup is actually a sensor hub and the 5-megapixel front-facing camera, respectively.

The Nextbit Robin is well-designed, and has both symmetric and asymmetric design elements. For example, there are two circular grilles aligned on the phone, which serve as dual speakers.

To the right of the phone, there is a SIM slot and the fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. The layout is similar to the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and integrated power button on the Sony Xperia Z5.

To the left, there are circular volume up and down buttons. Unlike many other smartphones that feature a volume rocker for the volume keys, the Robin deploys two separate keys.

The device features a polycarbonate shell and has a 5.2-inch Full HD display that is quite handy. However, it is slightly taller in comparison to other smartphones with 5-inch or 5.3-inch displays.

At the rear, the phone houses a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. Below that, what you see is the cloud sync indicator.
