2015 was a great year for gaming. We got to play some awesome games like Metal Gear Solid 5, The Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight (yes, the PC version wasn’t great), Fallout 4, Ori and the Blind Forest and more. But, it isn’t the end of the world. Not yet anyways. 2016 is already looking like a great year for gaming. Here is a look at some of the games we are really excited to play in 2016.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Release date: August 2016

Set two years after Human Revolution, Mankind Divided features the return of the protagonist Adam Jensen. If the trailer of the game is anything to go buy, then this is one game we are very excited to play.
Hitman
Release date: March 2016

If you were skeptical about the episodic release of the new Hitman game we say hold your horses. At launch the game will include three playable locations - Paris, France; Sapienza, Italy; and Marrakesh, Morocco. On launch day, gamers will have 800 targets, six campaign missions and weekly live events. More content will be added subsequently. It looks like IO interactive, the developers of the game, really want you to make the most of each location.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Have you played any of the previous Uncharted games? Have you seen the trailer? Calling Uncharted 4 one of the most anticipated games of 2016 would be an understatement. We truly can't wait to get our hands on what will be Nathan Drake’s last adventure.
Street fighter V

Another Street Fighter game! That’s enough reason to be excited. Some of the characters like Dhalsim, who was recently revealed, sports a new look. Which character are you most looking forward to? Any of the new characters?
Quantum Break

Control time, bend time, manipulate time — the theme of the game is all about time, and the game has a stellar Hollywood celebrity cast, voicing the film's characters. Shawn Ashmore, the guy who plays Iceman in the X-Men movies, dons the role of the lead protagonist in the game.
Battleborn
Release date: May 2016

The masterminds behind Borderlands are the ones working on Battlenorn and that’s reason enough for us to be excited about it. An online multiplayer first person shooter, the game will definitely rain havoc once released.
Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

Parkour is the name of the game in Mirror’s Edge: Catalysit. The first game had its shortcoming but conceptually it was great. Could we finally see a realisation of the developers dream?
No Man’s Sky

Little is known about the story of No Man’s Sky and that’s the way we like it. The game is huge, spanning an entire galaxy, quite literally. You can hop onto your ship and travel to any planet you see and explore it with no limitations. Expectations are high for this space explorer.
ReCore

The trailer of the game shown at E3 2015 left gamers speechless and in awe of this action adventure. Little has been revealed since and we can’t wait to see the game in action.
Ratchet & Clank

Considered as a reboot of the franchise, this is the story of how the lonely Lombax met his mechanical best friend. The game will release simultaneously with the movie and because the game is being developed by Insomniac games, we are very excited.
Doom

The game that defined the first person shooter genre is making a comeback. If the E3 2015 demo is anything to go by, then the game is on the right track catering to fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.
Dishonored 2

A lot is known about Dishonored 2. To begin with, the game takes place 15 years after the original and the game starts with a day in the life of Empress Emily Kaldwin. Dishonored brought with it a great story, dynamic gameplay and an interesting world to explore. We’re sure the developers have worked hard to meet fans expectations.
Tom Clancy's The Division

Ubisoft’s multiplayer third person action adventure game looks great in all the trailers so far and we are very excited to get our hands on it. With games like Assassin’s Creed Unity and Watch Dogs under its belt, we are a little skeptical. We do hope that the game is everything it is promised to be.
Horizon Zero Dawn

A third person action adventure game from the developer that brought us Killzone, this is a game that involves robot dinosaurs and a protagonist armed with a bow and arrow. Sounds interesting?
Vector

If a rhythm music game is what you are looking for then Vector is the one for you. Hello There games is developing Vector in collaboration with DJ Avicii producing what the developers call "a new kind of multiplayer music game with a fusion between gameplay, graphics and music."
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands

An open world tactical shooter, the coolest thing about Ghost Recon: Wildlands is the ability to tackle a mission any way you want. This will give the game an interesting dynamic, especially during multiplayer.
Dark Souls 3

The name says it all - Dark Souls. If you want a soul crushing tough game to challenge all your gaming reflexes and test your patience at the same time, then you need to look forward to Dark Souls 3. If you haven’t played Dark Souls 1 and 2 we recommend you give it a shot before venturing into this dark, dark world.
Gears of War 4

The fifth game in the Gears of War franchise is expected to launch in 2016 and we are very excited for two reasons. One is that the game has an all new protagonist and the second, we can’t wait to see what the developers do with all the power of the Xbox One.

Mafia III

Telltale Games has given us a bunch of awesome games like The Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us and Game of Thrones.
