We take a look at the design of the Galaxy S8+ against the LG G6 and have thrown in the OnePlus 3T to show how the design has evolved over the past year
The LG G6 has thin bezels surrounding the 5.7-inch display
But the Galaxy S8+ has thinner bezels. Infact, Samsung touts the display as an infinity display as the bezels are nearly absent on the sides
The OnePlus 3T has thick bezels above and below the display but the ones on the sides are relatively thin
All three smartphones use USB-C connectivity
The chin of the LG G6 is relatively thin but not as thin as the S8+
The OnePlus 3T has the largest chin as it houses the fingerprint and the back and multitasking buttons
The Galaxy S8+ has the thinnest chin. Samsung has hidden the home button behind the display. The tech is similar to what we have seen with Force Touch on the iPhone 7
The LG G6 houses a mono speaker that is next to the USB-C port
The OnePlus 3T houses the headphones jack and the speaker on either side of the USB-C port
The S8+ also has the speaker grill and headphones jack on either side of the USB-C port
The LG G6 houses a dual-13MP rear camera setup. The fingerprint sensor rest below the cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ has the fingerprint sensor next to the camera lens.
The right of the OP3T and the Galaxy S8+ house the power button whereas the power button is integrated with the fingerprint sensor in the LG G6
The right of the G6 has the dual-SIM card slot of which the second slot is a hybrid slot.
The right of the OP3T also has the dual-SIM trey. Unfortunately the smartphone does not support expandable storage
The right of the S8+ is clean with only the power button present
The LG G6 houses the headphones jack on the top whereas the Galaxy S8+ houses the SIM tray at the top.
