The Lenovo ThinkCentre M53 is a space-saving, tiny business PC primarily aimed at the office user. But there's nothing stopping you from considering it for home use. Here are some of the key points of the devices.
The biggest USP of the ThinkCentre M53 is its dimunitive size. Its dimensions are 7-inch wide, 7.2-inch deep, and 1.4-inch high. About the size of a lunch box, and weighing just 2.1 kg. Never thought PCs could be this tiny? Believe it!
At the back of the Lenovo ThinkCentre M53 you have three USB ports, DisplayPort, VGA out, Gigabit Ethernet, Kensington Lock slot and power adapter plug. The tiny, small form factor PC's enclosure is all metal and quite sturdy. You can see the Wi-Fi antenna attachment, too, on the ThinkCentre M53. Ticking at the heart of this tiny PC is an Intel Pentium chip.
So on the left we have the ThinkCentre M53, and on the right pretty much the same unit which we tested earlier (ThinkCentre M73) but which came with a DVD Writer attachment. The height difference isn't much, and the DVD accompaniment only makes sense if you really need it.
Coming back to the ThinkCentre M53, it's slimness can be compared to a Rupee 1 coin. While it's slightly larger than a coin, it's similar to the height of a golf ball.
Orientation of the ThinkCentre M53 doesn't matter. Keep it standing straight or lying back on its side, the thing still works. And with the promise of low-power consumption, the ThinkCentre M53 is definitely something worth considering.
