InFocus launched two new smartphones on June 23rd - the M350 and the M530, which will go for sale exclusively via Snapdeal from June 26.
The InFocus M350 is the cheaper of the two at Rs. 7,999, and features 8-megapixel primary and front cameras. Buyers will need to pre-register on Snapdeal to purchase it.
The M350 features a curved back, housing the InFocus logo, the primary camera with flash, and the speaker grill.
The 5" HD IPS display looked a little flat in terms of colour reproduction.
It is powered by a MediaTek MT6732 1.5GHz quad-core processor, and has 2GB of RAM. It is pre-loaded with Android v4.4.4 (KitKat).
InFocus has its own UI, termed InLife. At first look, it was quite fast, although camera performance was a bit slow.
The InFocus M530 is priced at Rs. 10,999, and will be available for open sale on Snapdeal.
The M530 is powered by a MediaTek MT6595 2GHz octa-core processor, which InFocus claims is the "fastest processor in its price bracket". It also has 2GB of RAM.
The phone houses a huge 5.5" HD IPS display, with InLife UI loaded on Android v4.4.2. Here too, the colour seemed a bit flat. The overall phone felt very bulky.
The InFocus M530 features a 13-megapixel cameras on both the front and back. The primary 13-megapixel primary camera has an aperture of f/1.8, and Optical Image Stabilisation.
This sample photograph was taken with the InFocus M530 with HDR-mode activated. The 13-megapixel front camera also has gesture recognition features.
The photograph's specs show the optimisations made by the camera to adjust to the low light condition.
The metal strip around the sides has the power button on the right, and the volume rocker on the left.
The top of the phone holds the 3.5mm headphone port.
The bottom has the standard charging/USB connector jack.
InFocus stated that it targets a sale of two lakh units per month with the new phones. Stay tuned for a more detailed look at both the phones.
