We got our hands on the 3 latest smartphones from Micromax, the Canvas Spark, Unite 3 and the flagship Canvas Knight 2. Here's a closer look at the build quality, design and overall aesthetics.
Starting from the left we have the Canvas Spark. In the middle we have the Canvas Unite 3 and right next to it is the Canvas Knight 2.
Starting with the Micromax Canvas Knight 2. This phone will act as the flagship device for the company and is priced at Rs. 16,299. The Canvas Knight 2 offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC along with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage
The smartphone is very light in hand. It features a 5-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The phone features a glass and metal construction. The rear of the phones is also covered in Gorilla glass 3 giving it a very premium look.
The phone gets a 13MP camera sensor made by Sony which is coupled with a dual-LED flash and housed in a metal camera body.
At the bottom of the phone, the Canvas Knight 2 gets a stereo speaker setup on either side of the mini-USB port.
The phone is quite thin as well at 6.3mm. A metal ring runs around the phone giving it a premium look. You can see the volume rocker and the power button on the left side of this phone.
The back of the phone features a matte-ish finish which feels nice in the hand. However, catches dust very easily.
The phone features an 8MP camera at the back which is capable of taking shooting HD videos. On the front there is a 2MP camera as well.
At the bottom we can see the loudspeaker and the USB port for charging and syncing purposes.
The right edge of the phone has both the volume rocker as well as the power buttons which have less travel than we expected.
It has a 4.7-inch display with a 480 x 800p resolution. The phone carries forward the same multiple language support and a simpler First Touch launcher as well.
The last phone on the list today is the Micromax Canvas Spark.
This is one of the most affordable smartphone offering available in India. This is also the first phone in its category to come with Android Lollipop out of the box.
The phone features a soft touch back which is quite similar to what we saw on the Yu Yureka. While it is quite grippy, the back retains quite a lot of fingerprints.
There is an 8MP camera on the back with a single LED flash
There is a speaker grill at the back and features a single speaker. You can check out our review of the Micromax Canvas Spark here.
