The Huawei MateBook is a 2-in-1 hybrid tablet, unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. Prices for the Windows 10 powered device starts at $699 and buyers get a keyboard case bundled with the device. It also comes with accessories like the MatePen and MateDock.

The device has a 12-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels. The MateBook is powered by a 6th Gen Intel Core M processor. Consumers get to choose between M3, M5, and M7 processors. You can also choose either 4GB or 8GB of RAM.

The M series processors are fanless processor, but weaker than i-series Intel processors, which means that the MateBook should be less powerful than the Surface Pro 4.

The Huawei MateBook comes with a full aluminium unibody build and is 6.9mm thin. It weighs 640 grams and will be available in two colour options. The device looks like a mix between the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 4.

A keyboard cover is included with the Huawei MateBook and it has a key travel of 1.5.

The tablet has a USB Type-C connector and there is also fingerprint scanner located on the side.

The MateBook also comes with a stylus called the MatePen. It can detect up to 2048 levels of  pressure and also works as a laser pointer.

The MateDock is a USB Type-C connector that adds a number of additional ports to the device like two USB ports, an Ethernet port, as well as VGA and HDMI ports.
