MWC Shanghai has begun, and we were at Huawei's booth today trying out the P9, P9 Plus and Mate 8 smartphones. Out of the three, the P9 is supposed to come to India later this year. We're already excited at the prospect of seeing one of the most intriguing smartphone cameras making its way to India soon. Here is a first look at the two smartphones!
Let’s begin with the Huawei P9. This is a new smartphone from the Chinese company, and was released in April 2016. The phone features an all-metal unibody build and nice brushed aluminum finish all around.
Let’s take a look at the specifications of the Huawei P9
At the back, there is a fingerprint scanner and the dual-camera setup. The two 12MP rear cameras use Leica optics, and are aided by phase detection autofocus.
At just 7mm, both the P9 and the P9 Plus are quite slim. The power buttons on both the phones are nicely indented, so that it is easy to operate even in the dark.
This is the P9 Plus, the bigger sibling of the Huawei P9. The P9 Plus features a similar build to the P9, but has a slightly larger footprint as the phone sports a 5.5-inch display.
Here is a quick rundown of the specifications of the Huawei P9 Plus
The P9 Plus pretty similar to the P9. Just like the P9, the P9 Plus hides its two rear camera under a glass case. It also shares the same brushed finish as the P9. However, the P9 Plus has a larger battery than the P9, and both use USB-C port for data and charging.
