The new HTC One M8 for Windows has been launched for US carrier Verizon with 4G capabilities. We take a look at what it's all about, and if this could be the premium phone Microsoft always wanted in the Indian market.
Design
The HTC One M8 for Windows has a beautifully crafted unibody aluminium frame with tapered edges. The phone shares its design DNA with its Android cousin, HTC One M8 which was launched a few months ago in India. The phone offers curved edges for a comfortable grip. HTC is also introducing on-screen Windows navigation keys with this phone.

Duo Camera
First the Ultrapixel camera and now the Duo camera setup, HTC certainly takes a different approach when it comes to the photography department. HTC says that the dual camera setup provides much needed depth to photos with its 'refocusing' feature. We also saw the same camera tricks on the HTC One M8 Android version which was launched earlier.
Windows Phone 8.1
The operating system on this phone is Microsoft’s latest. The Windows Phone 8.1.1 platform has Facebook integration and it comes preloaded with it. The Swype keyboard has been added to the mix along with start screen backgrounds. Audio and Media transcoding has been enhanced and editing features have been added as well. HTC has also managed to integrate Blinkfeed in the tile based UI of the phone.
