HTC announced the One A9 yesterday in India. The phone has a familiar design and at first glance you might mistake it for an iPhone. However, this is the first phone, besides the Nexus lineup, to offer Android 6.0 out of the box. We had the chance to check phone at the launch event and here is a quick look of the phone in pictures.
Before we start, here is a quick look at the spec sheet
The HTC One A9 has a 5-inch AMOLED display which is quite good. The overall colour reproduction felt very balanced, as we have come to expect from previous HTC phones.
Above the display, the phone has the usual array of sensors and the front facing 4MP Ultrapixel camera.
While the three navigation keys are kept on-screen only. The phone also gets a fingerprint sensor below the display.
The phone has an aluminium unibody build which feels quite good in the hand. The right side of the phone has the power button and the volume rocker.
The left side of the phone has the SIM-card slot and the microSD card slot.
The phone ships with Android 6.0 out of the box.
While the phone does get Android 6.0, it doesn't get USB Type-C. No boomsound speakers either.
The 13MP rear camera is coupled with dual tone LED flash and features a second generation OIS (Optical Image Stabilization)
