HTC launched two new smartphones today, the Desire 10 Pro and the 10 Evo. The Desire 10 is aimed at the mid-tier segment and is priced at Rs. 26,490. As for the HTC 10 Evo, the company will be announcing the price in December. With its metal construction and a last year's flagship SoC powering the device, the HTC Evo 10 looks and feels quite premium.

The HTC Desire 10 Pro offers an IPS FHD display, which has good viewing angles. Instead of on-screen navigation keys, the phone has capacitive buttons below the display.
The phone is relatively slim at 7.9mm and has features gold accents around the edges as well as the antenna lines of device. This give the phone distinctive appearance when compared to previous HTC Desire phones.
However, the key feature of the phone is the 20MP camera. It uses a BSI sensor with f/2.2 aperture and is further aided by laser autofocus. The fingerprint scanner is also located on the rear of the device.
Along the right edge are the physical power and volume key, which like previous HTC Desire phones, seem to have decent travel.
The HTC Desire 10 Pro has a single speaker located at the bottom alongside the micro USB port. The headphone jack is located at the top.

The HTC Evo 10 has a 5.5-inch QHD display, which like the Desire 10 Pro, has good viewing angles and a nice touch response. It has a 1080p resolution, unlike the international variant of the phone, which boasts a 2K resolution
Below the display lies the home button that doubles as the fingerprint sensor. Besides the home button are the two navigation keys, which are backlit. The phone is IP57 rated, which means it can withstand being submerged in up to 1m of water.
The Evo 10 has a metal construction and looks similar to previous HTC flagship smartphones. The bold chamfered edges are very reminiscent of the HTC 10.
The HTC Evo 10 features a 16MP rear camera, which is aided by phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization. The camera can also shoot videos in 4K @ 30fps.
