The latest HP Spectre 13 is currently the slimmest laptop in the world. While that itself is a commendable title to hold, it is not just about the looks, but also about its performance capabilities. Here's taking a look at the Spectre 13, from various angles.
The HP spectre is just 10.4mm thin, making it is the world’s slimmest laptop. The rest of the specifications are quite good as well:
HP has equipped the Spectre 13 with a 13.3-inch IPS display. It is bright and vibrant, and to add extra durability, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Like many HP laptops, the audio on the Spectre is powered by software made by Bang and Olufsen. The tenkeyless island-style keyboard is backlit, and each key has a gold finish around it.
All the I/O ports of the laptop lie at the rear. There are three USB 3.0 Type-C ports, out of which one is used to power the device. The other two USB 3.0 ports also support Thunderbolt 3 standard. The mic and headphone jack are at the left end, to the rear.
The whole laptop is made up of a combination of aluminium and carbon fibre. The rear end of the laptop has a bronze finish, while the rest of the laptop has a matte black finish.
HP has also developed a new kind of laptop hinge for this laptop. It uses a ring-like design, which tucks away as your close the lid down. HP calls it the ‘Piston hinge’.
Unlike any other slim laptop that features Intel’s fanless Core M series processors, HP has equipped the Spectre 13 with Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. For that, HP has developed an all-new cooling fan, which lives inside the slim chassis.
