HP today announced its new range of EliteBook laptops in India. While the four new laptops are aimed at the enterprise market, interested consumers will be able to buy them via various channels. This new range of EliteBook laptops offer premium build quality and new security features, such as a new BIOS healing feature.
HP claims that the Elitebook Folio is the thinnest and the lightest laptop in its segment. With the lid closed, it is 8.1 mm thin and weighs just 840 grams. Prices start at Rs. 1,28,000.

The Elitebook Folio features a 12.5-inch display, which is available in both touchscreen and non-touchscreen variants. The one you see here is a touchscreen variant, which sports Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top.
The laptop has a traditional tenkeyless keyboard, which is backlit. Since this is a commercial laptop, HP has incorporated dedicated buttons for Skype calls and calendar, right in the function key.
Since this is a ultra thin laptop, all the regular ports are replaced with two USB 3.0 Type-C port. On the left side, there is just a microphone and headphone jack combo.
HP has added four stereo speakers, made in collaboration with Bang and Olufsen.
HP also announced its Surface Pro competitor at the event, this is the HP EliteBook Folio X2. It is a hybrid tablet from the company and will be available with the keyboard dock. It supports Wacom active stylus, but that will be sold separately. Prices of the HP Elite x2 start at Rs. 95,000

Unlike the Surface Pro 4, the EliteBook X2 has a hollow stand, similar to the Smartron t.book. It is a bit thinner than both the Surface and the t.book.
The laptop has one standard USB 3.0 port, one USB 3.0 Type - C port, a microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphones/mic combo jack, and a SIM card slot. The top variants of the device also sport a fingerprint scanner.
The removable keyboard of the EliteBook x2 has a metal chassis, which means less flex while typing.
This is the EliteBook Folio 1040 G3. It is a 14-inch laptop and features a premium aluminum build. Prices for this start at Rs. 90,000.
