Display

The device has a 5 inch 720p IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The live tiles on the Windows Phone OS make the screen look vibrant and quite bright.

Rear Camera

This is the thinnest phone to have a Pureview Carl Zeiss camera. It has a 10 MP rear shooter, which can also shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

Front Camera

The front camera is a meager 0.9 MP, which will just do the job for video calls etc. Nokia doesn't seem to be concentrating on the selfie aspect with this smartphone. This makes sense, since the Lumia 730 is all about selfies!

Build and Thickness

At 8.5 mm, it isn't the thinnest smartphone that you will find. But the Lumia 830 is sleek and looks better than the 730. It has a metallic frame around it as opposed to the rounded edges on the 730.

Pureview and otherwise

While the 6.7 MP rear camera on the Lumia 730 doesn't compare to the 10 MP Pureview on the 830. Don't mistake the 10MP Pureview camera on the 830 to be anywhere close the Lumia 1020.
