Lenovo extended its portfolio in the Indian market today, launching a mid-ranged device with powerful hardware. The Lenovo Vibe X2 comes at a very good price and has good specifications. It doesn't look bad at first glance.
Layered design...
The main aspect of the Vibe X2 is in its design. Lenovo has introduced its layered design, which basically gives different colours to the phone. You would think this makes the device heavy, but while it is slightly thick, the 120 grams of weight is not overbearing.
Rear camera..
The rear camera lies at 13 MP and takes clear shots, albeit with a cool tint. But that's just a first impression, we'll be able to tell you more after we're finished with the review.
Selfies...
The Vibe X2 also has the selfie lovers covered with its 5 MP front camera. There are a number of gestures that you can use to click images.
Software..
While Lenovo has layered this with its own UI, the device has Android 4.4.4 KitKat lying underneath. It seemed to run smoothly on the demo units, but we'll know more once it's been taken through the motions.
Build..
Overall the device seemed sturdy and the build quality made it feel premium. The vibrant colours add to the style.
Display and UI
The full-HD display looked dull and reflective, affecting the sunlight visibility. The overall UI though has some new features of its own to add to the functionality. Most used apps are put on the lock screen as 'bubbles', which you can tap to open the apps.
