A notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio
OnePlus Co-founder Carl Pei revealed in March that the OnePlus 6 will sport a display notch. In an interview with The Verge, the phone was teased with an iPhone X-like notch in the middle of the display, indicating a 19:9 aspect ratio panel on the upcoming OnePlus 6. Defending the notch, Pei said, “What you are essentially doing is moving the entire notification bar up, giving users more content on their screen.” The notch on the OnePlus 6 will also be smaller than the iPhone X — the exact measurements for it is 19.616mm x 7.687mm. Thanks to the notch, the OnePlus 6 will have a screen-to-body ratio of 90 perecent.

The OnePlus 6 will have a glass-back
OnePlus confirmed the phone will have a glass back in a detailed forum post. There will be five printed layers of Nanotech Coating. CEO and Co-founder Pete Lau wrote, “OnePlus 6’s glass design is centered around creating a ‘sense of value’ and ‘premium hand-feel’. We gave a lot of thought to how users feel when they use the OnePlus 6. The advantages of glass over metal are manifold. Glass communicates a transparent, bright and pure feeling. The way glass transforms under different lighting is a particularly important challenge — The OnePlus design team tested over 70 glass prototypes before selecting the best one.”
OnePlus x Marvel Avengers Infinity Wars Special Edition
there will be a OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition smartphone, which will also be launched on May 17 in India, alongside the regular OnePlus 6. OnePlus has released a teaser video giving a brief look at the 19:9 display of the Avengers edition OnePlus 6 x with a “unique” textured back. This comes soon after OnePlus announced its collaboration with Marvel Studios, hinting that it could launch an Avengers Infinity War edition OnePlus 6 smartphone, similar to last year’s OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition.
The upcoming OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition will feature design elements, which are inspired by the movie. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition came with a red Alert Slider, a textured rear panel with the Star Wars logo, and we can expect something along the same lines for the upcoming OnePlus 6’s special edition smartphone.

The OnePlus 6 will get the Android P Public Beta
The smartphone is expected to launch running on Android 8.1 Oreo with a new version of OxygenOS, however, customers will also get to experience the latest public beta of Android P operating system as well. At the Google I/O 2018 developer conference, the search giant announced that for the first time, the latest Android P public beta will be available for devices other than the Pixel phones and the list includes the yet to be launched OnePlus 6. The company has also announced the same on their OnePlus forum.
