With Intel officially announcing its brand new 5th generation of processors, there were obviously going to be refreshed line-ups of laptops from various OEMs. We have already heard of a massive update from Lenovo, and now we have a range of upgrades from Dell.
Dell Venue 8 7000
The Venue 8 7000 is a thin tablet from Dell that's just 6mm thick. It comes with a 8.4-inch OLED display with a massive a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The tablet also comes with Intel’s Real Sense technology which lets you change the focus in a picture after you shoot it. Prices for the tablet start at $399.99 (Rs. 24,000 approx.).
Dell Inspiron 15 5000
The Inspiron 15 5000 series has been updated in design and can be configured with up to a Core i7-5500U CPU and a discrete Nvidia GeForce GPU, a display with resolution of up to 1080p, a touchscreen, and a 1TB hard drive. Dell is also offering an optional Intel RealSense 3D camera that offers gesture control, for an immersive interactive experience. The laptop prices start from $749.99 (Rs. 46,000 approx.).
Dell Inspiron 15 7000
The more premium laptops of the Inspiron range has also seen an update and can be configured with a 1TB or 500GB of hard drive space coupled with an 8GB hybrid hard drive and up to a 3GHz Core i7-5500U CPU, a discrete AMD Radeon GPU, a 4K display and a 512GB SSD. Prices start from $1,099.99 (Rs. 67,500 approx.).
Dell XPS 13
One of the most impressive updates was the XPS 13 which sees a massive reduction in size and portability bringing it at par with most 11-inch laptops. The laptop will be available with two screen options; a 1920×1080 non-touch display, and a 3200×1800 touch display, with a range of Broadwell U processors from the i3-5010U to the i7-5500U. Memory options include 4 or 8GB RAM, and 128, 256, or 512GB solid state drives. Dell also claims a battery life of 15 hours on the XPS 13. Prices start at at $799.99 (Rs. 48,000 approx.).
Dell XPS 15
The 15-inch XPS also saw a slight bump in the display where Dell is now offering a 4K touchscreen option with all the internals and external similar to last year's model. Prices start at $2,349 (Rs. 1.44 lakhs approx.).
Alienware 15, 17
Dell's gaming beasts have been updated and have shed some weight as well. The hardware specs have also seen a jump and can come with Intel 5th-gen Core i7 processors and Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M graphics, up to 16GB of 1600MHz RAM, and up to a 512GB SSD and 1TB 5400RPM hard drive. The Alienware 15 still starts from $1,199 (Rs. 72,000 approx.) and the 17 incher will start at $1,499 (Rs. 90,000 approx.).
Dell Inspiron 23 AIO
The all new Inspiron 23 AIO PC comes with a 23-inch 1080p display and Intel's RealSense 3D camera, which allows for things like detailed gesture and depth tracking as well as 3D scanning. Prices start at $1,599 (Rs. 98,300 approx.).
Dell 27-inch Ultra sharp monitor
For the ones who crave for more pixels, Dell also announced a 27-inch monitor with an amazing 5K resolution this translates to 5120x2880 pixels at 27 inches that is 218 PPI for a total of 14.7 million pixels. Price expected around $2500 (Rs. 1,50,000 approx.)
