The Corsair Vengeance K95 is a mechanical gaming keyboard from Corsair which features 18 programmable G keys. The K95 is an update to the older Vengeance K90 keyboard. The keyboard comes packaged in a colourful cardboard box with the image of the keyboard seen on the front.
The back of the box displays some of the important zones on the Vengeance K95 keyboard while also mentioning the features of the keyboard.
The packaging is not quite as good as we would have liked it to be, but it does the job nonetheless.
The Vengeance K95 is a very long keyboard and it has a brushed aluminium front-plate. Apart from the keyboard itself, the box contents include a long detachable wrist rest, a quick start guide, a warranty guide with a warranty card.
As seen here, the Vengeance K95 uses Cherry MX Red mechanical key switches throughout the board. Even the 18 programmable G-Keys to the left are mechanical. The wrist rest that the K95 uses has a nice soft touch finish to it which makes it comfortable to use.
The mechanical keys on the Vengeance K95 are raised quite a bit and hence they protrude out of the brushed aluminium face-plate.
The top part of the K95 features a USB port that can be used to connect any USB device. This USB port is powered by a separate USB cable. A polling rate switch also exists right beside the USB port. This switch can be used to switch between the polling rates or switch to BIOS mode.
Though the K95 is quite long, it’s sleek and the aluminium face-plate makes it look so.
Similar to the Vengeance K70, the K95 also has a plain bottom with a few rubber feet on the corners and foldable stands.
The Vengeance K95 features bright backlight illumination with the help of LEDs placed under individual keys. You can adjust the brightness of the backlight as well. Key-by-key illumination is also supported by the Vengeance K95.
