Today Coolpad announced the Coolpad Note 3. The new smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 and at that price, it offers the specs available in that price bracket. We had the chance to check out the device at the launch event and here is a closer look at the phone.

But before we start  here is a quick looks at the spec sheet

Let’s start with the display. The 5.5-inch display on the smartphone has a resolution of 1280 X 720p.

Below the crisp display, there are the three navigation keys. Unfortunately, they don't light up.

On the top of the display, the phone has the usual array of sensors and the 5MP front-facing camera.

The left side of the phone has the volume rocker, which gives good feedback.

The right side of the phone has a power button which gives a similar feedback.

At the bottom, lies the micro-USB port and the top has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone has a plastic build. The back has a matte finish which deals with fingerprints well and also adds grip to the phone.

At the rear, there is the 13MP camera and beneath it is the fingerprint sensor.
