Asus has launched the Transformer Book Trio at Computex 2013. The device is a hybrid i.e., it is a tablet that can be docked into a docking station and can be used as a netbook. But wait, there’s more. The Transformer Book Trio runs on Android as well as Windows.
The device has 11.6-inch displays with a 1920x1080 pixel resolution.
It must however be noted that the tablet will only run Windows 8 when it is docked into the keyboard.
The Android version running on the Transformer Book Trio is Jelly Bean.
For the two OSes, the device has two processors as well.
The Windows 8 side of the tablet runs on fourth-generation Core i7-4500U processor where as the 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor powers the Android side of things.
The keyboard dock houses a 1TB HDD and the tablet houses 64GB flash storage. The device will be available from Q3 2013.
