Sony is a giant when it comes to technology but it hasn't really innovated in the recent past. However, the company has announced some interesting products at CES to impress its fans. Here are some of the major announcements.

Sony 4K Android TV

Google announced Android TV last year and said that new TVs loaded with the platform will arrive early this year. Sony has now announced a range of super slim 4K LED televisions loaded with Android TV. There are a variety of models, all of which include Sony's 4K-X1 processor and Triluminos and X-Reality Pro technologies.

Sony SmartWatch 3 Steel edition

We had already seen Sony's SmartWatch 3 with Android Wear but now it has introduced a stainless-steel version of it which looks quite sexy. The metal strap has a champagne colour with powdered aluminum finish. Just like the rubberised band version, you can take out the main dial and also adjust the metal strap by removing the links.

Sony Action Camera with 4K

Sony has updated its action camera lineup with 4K recording capabilities. The new X1000V is exactly the same as the earlier models but can now shoot videos at a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second. There is also an ultra-wide-angle 170 degree lens, a back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, and Sony's Bionz X image processor.

Sony SmartEyeglass Attach

We have already seen early prototypes of Sony's wearable smart glasses called the SmartEyeglass and at CES it introduced a new product under the same brand called the SmartEyeglass Attach. It basically has a high-res color OLED Microdisplay near the right eye and is powered by a ARM Cortex A7 processor.

Sony Walkman NW-ZX2

Keeping its Walkman series alive, Sony launched a new Android based Walkman priced at $1200. It comes with 128GB of expandable storage, Android 4.2, support for high-res audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and supports formats including MP3, DSD, WAV, AIFF, FLAC and Apple Lossless.
