Turing phone is the brainchild of Turing Robotics Industries. The company claims that it will redefine “phone engineering” with this phone. The company claims that the phone is the toughest and safest phone on earth, hence the term 'Unbreakable' and 'Unhackable'. Let's take a closer look at the device over the next few slides.
To empower their claims, the company has developed a new liquid metal called Liquidmorphium, which the company claims is tougher than Titanium or Steel. In terms of specs, it offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch FHD display. It will be available in three storage options of 16/64/128GB options with prices starting from $610 (Rs. 39,000 approx). Currently the phone is ready for pre-order.
It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with Turing’s AEmaeth UI on top of it. The phone also claims to be secure and features a fingerprint scanner as well as Turing’s own Imitation key chipset for encrypted storage and security.
The engineers at Turing were so obsessed with security that they have excluded a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and one would need to pair a bluetooth headset instead. The standard micro-USB is replaced by a Wallaby Magstream power cable and connector.
There is a 3000mAh non-removable battery on the phone. Well, everything on the phone is seal packed as the phone features waterproofed internals with IPX8 certification.
The phone also features a 13MP primary camera with dual-LED flash. There is an 8MP camera at the front as well.
The phone is currently available for pre-order and only 10,000 units are available. We leave you with more cool looking images of the phone.
It is indeed a looker and quite a large device.
The sharp, edgy design is a far cry from the regular crop of flagship phones.
Choice of colors and finish clearly suggests that this device was made by a company that is into robotics.
