Thin and light
As you take the drive out of the packaging, the first thing you will notice is how light and thin it is. The external HDD weighs just 135 grams and is less than a cm thick, which makes it very portable and the best choice when you are low on space and want to carry a lot of data.
Build quality
This portable hard drive features a metal plate on the top which gives it some rigidity and further adds to the premium look. The lower part of the device is made up of hard plastic and has designer etched pattern at the bottom.
Design
The Ultra slim plus is a one of the best looking portable drives in the market. It is available in two colours — gold and silver which gives it a refreshed look compared to the boring black and grey coloured external hard drives. The contoured design on the top also makes it much easier to hold.
Connectivity
The Seagate Ultra Slim Plus can connect to both PC or a mac via the supplied USB 3.0 cable. The USB 3.0 interface also provides a super fast interface for copying data.
Software
The Seagate Ultra Slim drive is compatible with Seagate’s Dashboard software, using which you can back up data on the Ultra Slim drive with just one click. If you install the Seagate Mobile Backup app, you will be able to backup your photos and videos from your device to the external drive, or even directly to the Cloud. You also get 200GB of free OneDrive storage with the drive. For added functionality, the Seagate Ultra Slim drive is compatible with Lyve photo and video organising service, which you can use to organise your files.
