Samsung just announced a couple of days back that it will host its annual Galaxy Unpacked Event on January 22, 2025. During the event, the company will unveil its latest flagship Galaxy S25 series. In addition to that, a couple of more things are expected such as the Galaxy Ring, and Samsung’s take on the Meta Ray Ban smart glasses. Out of these, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to take center stage. I know a lot of you are excited for the new product drop from Samsung and can’t wait to know everything. Only 10 days remain before the event takes place, so here are 10 things that we know so far about the Galaxy S25 Ultra so far.
1) Refined Design: This time the Galaxy S25 Ultra can adopt a more boxy design, moving away from its traditionally rounded style. According to leaked rumours, it can feature thinner bezels, a titanium frame for the Ultra variant, We can even get to see a new set of colours, including Titanium Blue and Titanium Gold.
2) Bigger Displays: The series in general will feature slightly bigger displays.The Galaxy S25 Ultra can pack 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen. It can offer up to 3000 nits brightness and 120Hz refresh rate.
3) Gorilla Armor Glass 2: We can expect the new Corning Gorilla Armor Glass 2 with an anti-reflective coating on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
4) Qi2 Wireless Charging: Magnetic wireless charging support can debut this time and will ensure faster and more efficient charging.
5) Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor: All S25 models globally are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, unlike previous years.
6) Improved Cameras: The S25 Ultra can feature a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, upgraded ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, and a periscope lens with 10X optical zoom.
7) One UI 7: Samsung’s upcoming OS update is also expected to be dropped with the Galaxy S25 series. It is expected to bring smoother animations, real-time activity updates, and seamless updates.
8) Higher Base Specs: In addition to this, it is expected that with the Galaxy S25 lineup, we will get to see the base models now starting with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage
9) Slim Variant Rumors: Apart from the basic three models, the slimmer model, potentially under 7mm, could launch later in 2025.
10) Seven-Year Updates: This time Samsung can announce seven years of OS updates for the entire Galaxy S25 lineup.
