Kingston SSDnow UV300 is literally the cheapest good performing SSDs you can buy to quickly get a commendable performance boost. However, if you were to search around, you’d still get last year’s flagships for about a few hundred bucks more. They might not offer the same cost-to-gb ratio but they do offer much higher write IOPS which makes all the difference.
Performance wise, the Phison S10 continues to amaze as it outperforms some of the flagships that ruled the roost until a few years back. We do see that moving the TLC has resulted in raw throughput being comparable to Toggle NAND but there is a sharp drop in IOPS, especially when it comes to write operations. Which is where the entire difference lies. These are literally the cheapest good performing SSDs you can buy to quickly get a commendable performance boost. However, if you were to search around, you’d still get last year’s flagships for about a few hundred bucks more.
