From a performance perspective, the Kingston HyperX Savage was surprisingly good. It does prove to be a formidable opponent to the flagships from other manufacturers like Samsung and SanDisk.
The Kingston HyperX Savage does feel really premium with a hard board package, foam cushion on the inside and accessories for all needs. They ship a 3.5-inch adapter and an external case if you wish to use the drive as an external. And you don’t even need to go hunt for a screwdriver because they’ve clubbed that as well. It’s the lazy nerd’s care package. The SSD itself feels quite durable with a thick and heavy metal casing emblazoned with Kingston’s branding. On the inside, the PCB has 16 NAND packages all, neatly packed with plenty of spacing between them.
From a performance perspective, the Kingston HyperX Savage was surprisingly good. Sequential read speeds were around 545 MB/s and write speeds were around 526 MB/s. Even 4K read and write speeds were way above average. It does prove to be a formidable opponent to the flagships from other manufacturers like Samsung and SanDisk.
