EVGA GTX 550Ti Review

Updated on 01-Aug-2023
VERDICT:

If you are looking for the best GTX 550Ti in the market, we would recommend the EVGA card. Not only does it give scores which are better than the refernce GTX 550 Ti, but it also operates at decent load temperatures. Also the utilties bundled in add to the features.

Design and Build: The card is designed on the lines of the reference card. Only the shroud covering the PCB has a custom EVGA design which looks attractive. A centrally located fan is placed over the heatsink. Overall the build
quality is quite good.

Performance: Looking at the performance graphs, there is not a huge difference between the ZOTAC GTX 550 Ti AMP Edition card and the EVGA card, despite the ZOTAC card having a considerably larger boost in factory overclock. Also the EVGA card scores better than the competing HD 67xx cards. The best part about the EVGA card was its comparitively cooler operation temperatures. The temperature delta for ZOTAC card was almost double that for the EVGA Card.
