Panasonic launches its rugged Toughpad series of smartphones, tablets in India

Panasonic has launched three new devices in its rugged Toughpad series. This include the FZ-F1, FZ-N1 smartphones and the FZ-A2 tablet. The FZ-F1 and the N1 are 4.7-inch devices with angular 1D and 2D barcode reader. F1 comes with Windows 10, while the N1 comes with Android Lollipop. The Toughpad FZ-A2 features a 10.1 inch display and runs Android Marshmallow. Prices for the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 start at Rs. 99,000 plus tax, while the Fz-F1 starts at Rs. 1,09,000 plus tax. Panasonic an industry leading manufacturer of mobile computing solutions today added three new models of rugged devices namely Toughpad FZ-F1 & N1 and tablet FZ-A2 tablet. The Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 are the world’s lightest, fully rugged 4.7” handheld tablets with angular 1D / 2D Bar code reader, Android and Windows devices that feature a quad-core Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processor built for  markets like Transportation and Logistics, Manufacturing, Retail and Healthcare. The 10.1 inch Android tablet offers flexible business customization options suited best for an ideal mobile device for automotive workshops, field work, showrooms.

Meanwhile, Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 tablet is a lightweight (880g) and slim (16.4mm) rugged tablet with a fanless design and runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Enterprise Security from Android for Work. It is equipped with the latest, more powerful Intel® AtomTM x5-Z8550 Quad Core processor (2 MB cache, 1.44GHz up to 2.4GHz) with 4GB RAM and a 32GB eMMC.

Pricing and Availability: The Android-powered Toughpad FZ-N1, will be launched with integrated 1D/2D barcode reader and with data and voice feature at a street price of 99 K INR + Tax and the Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise-powered Toughpad FZ-F1 will be launched with integrated 1D/2D barcode reader and with data and voice feature at a street price of 1.09 Lacs INR +Tax.

The Toughpad FZ-A2 will be available at a starting price of 1.20 Lacs + tax.
