Panasonic has unveiled the Eluga I3 smartphone in India at Rs. 9,290 and offers support for VoLTE. The device comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.3Ghz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. At the back is a 13MP camera, while at the front is a 5MP camera. The phone offers 16GB of onboard storage that can be expanded by up to 32GB via a microSD card. The Panasonic Eluga I3 runs Android Lollipop v5.1 and is equipped with a 2700mAh battery.

Panasonic India Pvt Ltd, a leader in innovation and technology, today unveiled ELUGA I3, available at a best buy price of Rs. 9290 with new 4G VoLTE offering in the phablet category for the Indian customers. The ELUGA I3 comes with a 13.97 cm (5.5) HD IPS display for wider viewing angles and focus on greater daylight readability. The device supports 4G VoLTE for rich data and voice experience and supports India specific LTE bands 3, 5 and 40.
The stylish ELUGA I3 is developed on the oriental design theme of Panasonic’s successful ELUGA I2 & comes with textured back design for better grip and premium look. The Eluga I3 is available in three different colors- Champagne gold, Rose gold and Marine blue to complement users with diverse styles.
The ELUGA I3 operates on Android™ 5.1 (Lollipop) with the Panasonic FitHome user interface, which is engineered exclusively by Panasonic. The device comes with 5 MP camera on the front and a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. With hardware selectively integrated to meet data processing and simultaneous functionality, the ELUGA I3 is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB Internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “With the launch of ELUGA I3, we believe we will surely address some major consumer concerns by providing them with a better viewing experience and more productivity on-the-go”. Sharing details on Panasonic’s smartphone decision growth, Mr. Rana added that, “the mobile division contributed 15% towards overall India revenue, which we want to take to 25% by the end of the ongoing fiscal. The ELUGA I3 comes at the most appropriate time when mobile internet is on the rise and there has been persistent increase in demand for larger screens and video consumption.”
ELUGA I3 is rich in technology innovation and holds a mega battery capacity of 2700mAh with optimized power management software ensuring longer operation.. The device also supports 4G VoLTE, and has dual SIM – 4G/3G + 2G configuration integrated with Wi-Fi Hot Spot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, Global Positioning System (A-GPS).
