Nothing Taps Polygon for Web3 Access Starting With NFT Membership Program
Consumer tech company Nothing today announced its first NFT project – the Nothing Community Dots – in collaboration with the carbon-neutral Polygon network. The membership program invites Nothing's community to collect NFT tokens that unlock special perks, including early access to new products and offline events. The announcement comes ahead of the launch of its highly anticipated smartphone Nothing Phone (1).
Nothing’s first NFT token, called Black Dots, will be airdropped to Nothing community investors, from 7th July, followed by Phone (1) pre-order customers. Registration is required on dots.nothing.tech. Please refer to below details:

The Polygon partnership will take Nothing’s Web3 plans a step further. Going forward, the company also plans to make its phone category and other ecosystem devices future-ready by enabling sustainable and secure access to Web3.
“With Nothing Community Dots, we’re using Web3 technologies to create more meaningful connections with our community,” said Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing. “By partnering with Polygon, a leader in blockchain innovation, we’re delivering an accessible, and importantly, a more sustainable Web3 experience.”
Polygon recently attained carbon-neutral status and has pledged to go carbon negative by the end of 2022. As a result, all services building on Polygon become carbon neutral by default.
With over 19,000 decentralized services ranging from decentralized finance to gaming, Polygon is fast becoming the de-facto platform for Web3. The network is already working with major global brands and companies, including Meta, Stripe, and Adobe as they start to explore Web3 functionality.
“It's immensely encouraging to see an innovator like Nothing embrace Web3 from the get-go, enabling direct access to Web3 by working with Polygon,” said Sandeep Nailwal, Co-founder of Polygon. “We're elated to be collaborating with the Nothing team to foster a sustainable approach to Web3 entry in the coming months.”
Nothing is one of the first consumer tech brands to connect the real world with the power of Web3. More information about the NFT project and wider Web3 commitments will be shared at a later date.
