Lenovo have appointed Simran Dhindsa as the new Digital Marketing head, Asia Pacific region, Lenovo MBG. He is responsible for strategizing and managing the digital presence of Moto and Lenovo Mobiles in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to his current role, Dhindsa was leading the Digital and Social Media Marketing team for the Indian subcontinent.

He is responsible for strategizing and managing digital presence of Moto & Lenovo Mobiles in the Asia Pacific region including Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines and India.

Prior to his current role, Simran was leading the Digital and Social Media Marketing team for Indian subcontinent and was responsible for developing and driving Moto India’s digital strategy and communication activities in India. Under Simran’s supervision, Moto has successfully executed campaigns like Moto Spotlight, Moto Dad Tunes (India’s first crowd sourced song) etc.

Simran brings with him a rich experience of working on award winning integrated marketing campaigns. His core expertise lies in Digital Strategy, e-Commerce, Social Media Management, Web Development and SEO. His creative and innovative approach made campaigns like “Cinemagraph” and “Lets Game” platform possible thereby creating a market niche in the target audiences. 

Simran started his career with Tulip Telecom Ltd where he created and managed Tulip Telecom's social media presence. This was followed by a highly successful stint at Micromax Informatics, where Simran lead the digital marketing vertical and augmented Micromax’s digital footprint across their countries of presence, winning many accolades and awards for his work. Simran is an MBA in Marketing and has a Bachelor's degree in software engineering.

Under Simran’s leadership, Moto India has won numerous awards from prestigious institutions including India’s Buzziest brand by Mobile Handset Category Afaqs Buzzies 2016, South Asian Digital Media Awards 2016 for Best Digital Advertising Campaign for Moto X Force iAmShatterProof campaign, Best Overall Media Strategy at the Bangalore Advertising Clubs Bang Bang Awards 2016, Bronze award at the Advertising Club’s Emvies 2016 for Moto X Force and Best digital promotion campaign for Moto X Play ‘Moto X Play election coverage with a smartphone by MMA Smarties 2016.
