Snapdeal and FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) have signed an MOU to start an initiative called ‘Women Entrepreneurship in e-commerce’. This initiative aims to enable digital inclusion for 4,000 women entrepreneurs and artisans affiliated to FICCI FLO Chapters across 15 locations in India. During the first phase of the initiative, FICCI FLO will develop a roadmap for digital inclusion and launch an exclusive online store called FLO Women of India. This will be followed by a digital listing of associated NGOs and artisans.

Ahead of International women’s day, Snapdeal, India’s largest online marketplace and FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) have signed an MOU to kick-start the ’Women Entrepreneurship (WE) in e-commerce’ initiative. Through this initiative, Snapdeal and FICCI FLO will enable digital inclusion for 4,000 women entrepreneurs and artisans, affiliated to FICCI FLO Chapters across 15 locations in India. Snapdeal and FICCI FLO will work together to educate, enable and empower these entrepreneurs to leverage digital commerce to grow their businesses.
In the first phase of this initiative FICCI FLO will develop a roadmap for digital inclusion and simultaneously on-board women entrepreneurs and artisans on Snapdeal and launch an exclusive online store – “FLO Women of India”. This will be followed by digital listing of associated NGOs and artisans.
Announcing the partnership, Dr A. Didar Singh, Secretary General FICCI, said “India is the fastest growing e-Commerce market in the region and we need to further encourage women to foray into this area. FLO in collaboration with Snapdeal is doing a commendable job in this direction through the WE in e-Commerce Initiative. The FICCI FLO Store will house a rich assortment across diverse product categories and will be available on Snapdeal’s mobile, web and app as well as Snapdeal’s C2C platform – Shopo. Snapdeal will also provide access to its intuitive Seller Panel, enabling the women entrepreneurs to manage inventory and orders on their mobile phones. This will be further bolstered by the swift 'click, upload, and sell' feature on the Shopo App, allowing listing in minutes on the Shopo platform.
