Prana Air has launched two new air quality monitors named Cair and Cair+. The devices are now available online at www.pranaair.com with worldwide shipping.
Purelogic Labs India, an initiative to increase awareness about air pollution in India, has launched another new series of air quality pocket monitors this year, right after launching the pocket-friendly Pocket Monitor and the Motion Mask.
Prana Air, the brand by Purelogic Labs for devices and products to protect people from pollution has now launched Cair and Cair+.
Cair and Cair+ measure the air quality and air pollution in any environment and shows all collected data in real-time. With newly added functionality such as Wi-Fi connectivity and an SD-card slot, it allows the user to track the air anywhere, anytime. All data is stored in the cloud and accessible through the mobile application- AQI India.
Both monitors measure PM2.5, Temperature, and Humidity along with PM1 and PM10 (equational) with high-quality sensors, to check the air quality. Cair and Cair+ can both connect to the Wi-Fi, have an SD-card for storing data, and be used wirelessly with the in-built 1000 mAh battery.
Cair+ measures, in addition to the mentioned parameters, also CO2 and HCHO with dedicated sensors and TVOC (equational). All data is seen on the monitor’s LCD screen in real-time and in graphs, or through the mobile application where the data is also stored. With the mobile application, hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly data can be accessed, and alerts can be set for different air quality levels to ensure safety when air pollution spikes.
The monitor comes with a charging cable and adapter and is meant to be connected at all times for continuous measurements. It can be disconnect and use the in-built battery for 1-2 hours remotely. The display shows the values for each parameter together with colours to analyse if the levels are safe or not, ranging between green, yellow, and red.
Many new channels and other experts have pointed out at pollutants such as PM2.5 as a hazardous element. The particles which are PM2.5 (smaller than 2.5 microns) can be a combination of soot, dust, and dirt which can enter our lungs and bloodstreams. The increased levels of PM2.5 are mainly due to vehicular pollution, industrial pollution, and fire smokes (intentional and unintentional) and is known to cause us harm.
Other harmful pollutants include CO2 and HCHO. When there is a lack of fresh air, CO2 will increase and can cause headaches, nausea, and distress. Closed spaces such as classrooms and bedrooms are usually found to have high levels of CO2 if there is no proper ventilation. HCHO (Formaldehyde) is found in areas with new furniture, freshly painted walls, or mishandled chemicals. If one is present in a room with high levels of HCHO for too long, there is a risk of serious health consequences.
Rohit Bansal, Founder of Purelogic Labs states, “Cair and Cair+ allows people to check the air anywhere to see if they are really breathing clean air or not, it gives people the power to be aware and do something about the situation when clean air cannot be guaranteed”.
Cair, with a dedicated PM2.5, Temperature, and Humidity sensor as well as equational PM1 and PM10, is priced at only 4990 INR.
Cair+, with a dedicated PM2.5, CO2, HCHO, Temperature, and Humidity sensor as well as equational PM1 and PM10, is priced at only 7490 INR.
