Microsoft has announced a set a cricket oriented features for its Bing search engine. This includes Bing predictions, polls, and quizzes as well as content such as live scores, news, videos, photos, stats, previews, commentaries, and more. The search engine will also offer additional information on the history of cricket, and the records held by cricketers. Users will be able to access these features by searching for ‘Cricket World Cup’ on the Bing homepage.

With the onset of the T20 Cricket season in India, Bing has announced a refreshed set of Cricket oriented search features such as Bing predictions, polls and quizzes designed to give Cricket lovers an enriched search experience. Bing brings to users an application integrated into Bing search that will provide comprehensive Cricket content such as live score, news, videos, photo, stats, previews, commentaries, etc. The search engine will also provide information on history of Cricket, the records held by cricketers etc.
 
Searching for "Cricket World Cup" on the Bing homepage will bring up the content to the top where users will get match predictions, standings, stats, polls and quiz on a day by day basis as the competition progresses.
 
Speaking on the refreshed features, Sundar Srinivasan, GM Bing Search, said, “Over the past few months, we have been working to enrich Cricket search experiences to show more match details. We anticipate our unique offerings such as Bing Predicts and quiz will make this T20 Cricket season much more exciting and engaging for the fans. These all new experiences on Bing and Cortana will provide comprehensive cricket information for all cricket fans.”

The intuitive Bing Predicts feature makes in-match predictions, updating winners every five overs.  Bing uses search, social, and other relevant data to make intelligent predictions about upcoming events, like sports games, reality TV shows, and more.
 
Follow Cricket using Cortana and play Cricket quiz on Windows 10
Cortana will help keep all its users on Windows 10 stay updated with the latest and best of Cricket matches. By simply asking her about “Cricket scores” or scores of the favourite team will be able to check the entire schedule of the tournament or just the matches of their favorite team.
A big fan of Sachin Tendulkar herself, Cortana will also test users’ knowledge about the game. One can ask Cortana to “give me a cricket challenge” and engage in a lively quiz session.
 
Ball by ball Updates through Carousel
The search engine will now show users the most recent results and updates starting from Match schedule to point tables with a simple search. This helps in eliminating the need to hop between different websites to check match updates. Bing will also have all the information one needs for the matches all in one place with in-depth features including match schedules, results, and top player statistics. It will enable Cricket lovers in India to stay updated with up to date match scores and get access to interesting facts about their favorite players and teams.

Daily Cricket Quiz
To add more fun and excitement to this Cricket season, Bing offers users the opportunity to play a daily cricket quiz to test their skills and voice their thoughts in the daily poll. Additionally, it also gives a reason behind very correct answer followed by a score allowing Cricket lovers to enhance their knowledge about the sport’s history.
